Tigerwood

Tigerwood Wood

Origin: Africa or Mexico

Grain Type: Interlocked grain with fine texture

Color: Yellow-brown with dark streaks ranging from reddish brown all the way to black

Advantages: Very high density yet easy for professional craftsmen to work and shape, more resistant to moisture than other woods, has excellent strength and durability

Disadvantages: Wood can tear if not cut with sharp enough tools, DIY work is not recommended without prior woodworking experience for this reason
