Grain Type: Straight grained
Color: Light yellow or white color which becomes a darker reddish brown with time, the wood rings appear as darker than the surrounding wood
Advantages: Very easy to cut and install, does not shrink or swell up in size from seasonal movement, known for having a rustic look and feel, affordable for larger wood flooring projects
Disadvantages: Softer than other woods and thus more likely to experience scratches or dents, though denser species of pine are still suitable for flooring
